If you are a fan of long trails turning around the mountain peaks, giving you beautiful and breathtaking views, Georgia is the place for you. Known for its amazing landscapes, Georgia is one of the countries I really want to go back to and hike more.
Not many people know much about Georgia. A country in Caucasus, close to Russia, part of a USSR back in the day? Maybe even less. But there is so much to this country, starting with food, nature, people, culture and history, and not necessarily in this order.
There are several states in the US that require more of your attention than others if you are into hiking, nature, desert, and general wilderness. Places where you can be the only person in miles and miles, and where the only thing you have is your companions, car and the road. This is our story of one such place.
Eiffel Tower, Disneyland, Venice and Statue of Liberty in the same place. Sounds impossible? Or maybe familiar? It is not a dream nor a joke, it’s Vegas baby!
Duing our trip we stayed in Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage. But don’t let that description fool you. Anchorage might be the biggest city in Alaskan standards, but in comparison with USA’s large cities, it’s a baby. Nevertheless, a very beautiful and charming baby, worth visiting.
As we mentioned already in previous posts, Josip and I were working in Yellowstone National Park. Throughout our stay there we worked at few different jobs, dealt with different situations, and since many people are considering going to Yellowstone and working there, we decided to write a post to help you decide.
United States – a dream destination for many people. Josip and I always wanted to go there, to see how…
Georgia is a gorgeous country, with long history and interesting people and nature. What to expect when traveling? Find out some basics here!
As we said in the post about Yellowstone, apart from Old Faithful and Mammoth village, in Yellowstone you can also visit: Lake Village, Canyon Village and Grand Village. They are in a driving distance from each other, so it is good to have your own car. You can also try to hitchhike because, first of all, it is legal in the park, and second of all, people are usually very nice and they will try to help you as much as they can.
Mammoth Village, the first village you can visit if you enter Yellowstone NP from the north entrance, is a very interesting destination to explore. From very smelly hot springs and territorial bull elks to amazing views from the roads and mountaintops, it has it all!
